WANA (Feb 10) – Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, on Tuesday urged the United States to remain alert to what he described as the “destructive role” of Zionists, following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to Washington.

Speaking to the Oman News Agency in Muscat on Tuesday night, Larijani said the United States should not allow Netanyahu to influence the framework of nuclear negotiations with Iran.

“Netanyahu is now on his way to the United States. Americans must think wisely and not allow him, through posturing, to imply before his flight that ‘I want to go and teach Americans the framework of the nuclear negotiations,’” Larijani said.

“They must remain alert to the destructive role of the Zionists,” he added.

Earlier on Tuesday, Netanyahu said ahead of his departure that during his visit to Washington, he would present principles for negotiations with Iran to U.S. officials.

“I will present principles for negotiating with Iran. These principles are not only for Israel, but for anyone seeking security,” Netanyahu said.
