WANA (Mar 02) – Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, wrote in a post on X that Iran will not engage in any negotiations with the United States.

Ali Larijani stated on his X account: “We will not engage in any negotiations with the United States.”

Earlier, Al Jazeera, citing The Wall Street Journal, had claimed that the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council had launched new efforts to resume talks with Washington.

Badr Al-Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, also wrote on his social media account on Sunday evening: “The Geneva talks made real progress toward an unprecedented agreement between Iran and the United States. Although there was hope to prevent war, war should not mean the loss of hope for peace. I still believe in the power of diplomacy to resolve this conflict. The sooner negotiations resume, the better it will be for everyone.”

In another post, Larijani commented on the ambitions of the President of the United States, writing: “Trump plunged the region into turmoil with unrealistic ambitions and is now concerned about further American casualties. Through delusional conduct, he turned his self-styled ‘America First’ slogan into ‘Israel First,’ sacrificing American soldiers for Israel’s pursuit of power. With new falsehoods, he is once again imposing the cost of his personality cult on American soldiers and their families. Today, the Iranian nation is defending itself. Iran’s armed forces did not initiate the aggression.”
