WANA (May 24) – As negotiations aimed at ending the war and reducing regional tensions continue, the latest reports indicate that Iran has delivered its final proposal to the American side through mediators, leaving Washington responsible for the next move. Sources familiar with the talks say Tehran has attempted to present “practical and realistic” proposals at this stage — proposals that analysts believe could serve as a test of the United States’ willingness to reach an agreement.

At the same time, several foreign media outlets have circulated claims regarding the possible terms of a deal, including allegations about a 10-year suspension of uranium enrichment or the transfer of Iranian nuclear materials abroad. However, informed sources have dismissed these reports as inaccurate, stressing that such issues are not part of Iran’s proposals.

According to available information, Tehran has outlined a number of clear conditions for any potential agreement, insisting that they must be implemented from the very first phase. These conditions reportedly include the immediate release of part of Iran’s frozen assets, the removal of restrictions on Iranian oil sales, and an end to the war across all fronts, particularly in Lebanon.

Sources close to the negotiations emphasize that Iran considers the practical implementation of these commitments a prerequisite for any understanding. They add that if any of these conditions are not fulfilled, no agreement will be reached. In the same context, Tehran has reportedly informed mediators that Iran’s armed forces remain fully prepared to deliver what officials describe as “regret-inducing strikes” in response to any renewed attack.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that disagreements between the two sides persist over several key provisions. Despite today’s discussions, sources say the United States continues to create obstacles regarding certain parts of the proposed understanding, particularly the issue of releasing Iran’s blocked assets, and that these disputes remain unresolved.

As a result, observers believe the possibility of the talks collapsing still exists. According to informed sources, Iran has underlined that it will not retreat from its red lines in pursuit of what it describes as the rights of its people.
