WANA (Apr 11) – Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, issued a two-part statement on social media today addressing the ongoing negotiations in Islamabad and the political situation in Lebanon.

Power and Diplomacy in Islamabad

Velayati characterized the current diplomatic efforts in Pakistan as a reflection of Iran’s national strength. “Today’s authoritative diplomacy is proof of the protection of regional stability under the shadow of Iran’s national power,” he stated.

He further praised the “wise presence” of Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and his accompanying delegation in the Islamabad negotiations, describing it as a continuation of the nation’s will to secure the rights of the Iranian people.

Warning Regarding Lebanese Security

In the second part of his statement, Velayati directed a message toward Beirut, specifically addressing Nawaf Salam. He warned that ignoring the strategic role of the resistance and Hezbollah would have severe consequences for Lebanon’s security.

“Mr. Nawaf Salam in Beirut should know that ignoring the irreplaceable role of the resistance and the heroic Hezbollah will confront Lebanon with irreparable security risks,” Velayati wrote.

He concluded by asserting that stability in Lebanon is only possible through synergy between the government and the resistance.
