The World Gathers to Bid Farewell to Iran’s Late Supreme Leader
WANA (Jul 03) – Iran’s capital on Friday became the scene of one of the largest and most significant international gatherings in recent years, as political, diplomatic, religious, cultural, and academic delegations from nearly 100 countries arrived in Tehran to participate in official tribute and farewell ceremonies for Iran’s martyred Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, at Imam Khomeini Mosalla.

WANA (Jul 03) – The body of Iran’s late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, arrived Friday morning at Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran, where official tribute ceremonies and international gatherings are scheduled to take place.
The arrival marked the beginning of a series of farewell events that will bring together domestic and international participants, including political figures, religious leaders, scholars, and foreign delegations expected to pay their respects.
According to official reports, international delegations attending the event are expected to participate in tribute ceremonies honoring the late Supreme Leader during their visit to Tehran.
Iranian authorities have also announced a multi-day schedule of farewell and funeral ceremonies to be held across Iran and Iraq between July 4 and July 9. The official mourning events will include farewell ceremonies, funeral prayers, public processions, and burial rites.
The farewell ceremonies are scheduled for July 4 and July 5, followed by the main funeral procession in Tehran on July 6. Additional ceremonies are expected to take place in the Iranian city of Qom on July 7, followed by processions in the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala on July 8.
The final funeral and burial ceremony is scheduled to take place on July 9 in the holy city of Mashhad, concluding a series of events organized to commemorate Iran’s late Supreme Leader.
