Large crowds gathered from the early hours of the morning, with roads leading to the main ceremony already filled with mourners as the procession got underway.
According to the Islamic Development Coordination Council, the main procession route extends from Damavand Street through Imam Hossein Square, Enghelab Square, Azadi Square, and Shahid Lashkari Street. All intersections connected to the main route have also been designated as part of the funeral procession area.
