Iranian President Departs for Najaf
WANA (Jul 07) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian left Tehran for Najaf on Tuesday to attend the official reception for the remains of Iran’s late leader.

WANA (Jul 07) – The funeral procession for Iran’s late leader began in the city of Qom, drawing thousands of people from across the country as well as a number of foreign guests. The ceremony started after funeral prayers for Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei were led by Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli at Jamkaran Mosque, before the procession moved toward the Shrine of Fatima Masumeh.
The nearly seven-kilometer route between Jamkaran Mosque and the shrine had been filled with mourners for hours before the ceremony began. People traveled to Qom to pay their final respects to Iran’s late leader and members of his family. Participants carried Iranian flags, religious flags, red flags symbolizing revenge, and portraits of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei throughout the procession.
