Maritime Incident Reported in Gulf of Oman

Iran: Deliberate Targeting of Two Iranian Vessels by the US Is a War Crime
WANA (Jul 25) – Iran has formally complained to the United Nations, saying the United States has committed a “war crime” by deliberately targeting two Iranian maritime search-and-rescue vessels, saying the ships were engaged solely in humanitarian operations and were not involved in any military activity at the time of the attack.
In a letter addressed to UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the president of the UN Security Council, Gholamhossein Darzi, Iran’s ambassador and deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, said the US attacked the Iranian rescue vessels Naji-15 and Naji-16 during the early hours of July 23 while they were operating in Iran’s territorial waters off Hormozgan Province.

US Military Disables Commercial Vessel Attempting to Reach Iranian Ports
