Brigadier General Mohseni, the IRGC spokesperson, responded to reports alleging that Tehran and Washington had created a direct line of communication to manage potential incidents in the Strait of Hormuz, stating: “The claim that a direct communication channel has been established between Iran and the United States regarding the Strait of Hormuz is completely false and is categorically denied. WANA (Jun 26) – Iran has warned that all vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz must use the shipping route designated by Tehran, saying any alternative route established without its coordination is “illegal, unacceptable, and highly dangerous.”

U.S. Military Aircraft Watch as Vessel Is Struck in Strait of Hormuz
WANA (Jun 26) – A vessel transiting the southern shipping corridor of the Strait of Hormuz, near Oman’s coastline, was struck by a projectile, in an incident that occurred while U.S. military aircraft were operating in the area.
According to data from the Match OSINT platform, the vessel was leaving the Persian Gulf and was reportedly operating in coordination with the United States. At the time of the incident, five U.S. military aerial refueling aircraft were observed over the Strait of Hormuz. Despite their presence and their ability to support large-scale air operations, no military response was launched by Washington.
