Warning to Iran’s Northern Neighbours

 

WANA (Mar 01) – Sources indicate that if any of Iran’s northern neighbours, who have so far not been targets of Iranian missile strikes, become involved in the military aggression by the U.S. and Israel, these countries will be added to Iran’s target list.

 

The sources further warn that Iran’s northern neighbours, if they support the U.S. and Israeli attacks, will face missile strikes similar to those directed at the Persian Gulf states.

 

In the past few hours, several foreign media outlets have reported the deployment of U.S. and Israeli fighter jets in two of Iran’s northern neighboring countries. The Iranian government has made it clear that any hostile actions or attacks originating from these countries will be met with a decisive response.

 


Ali Larijani’s Message to Regional Countries

WANA (Mar 01) – Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, conveyed a message in Arabic to the countries of the region, emphasizing that Iran does not intend to attack them. However, he clarified that when U.S. forces use bases located in these countries to conduct operations against Iran, those bases become legitimate targets for retaliation.

 

Larijani stated: “These bases are not the territory of these countries; they belong to the United States.”

 


China Condemns the Assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader

WANA (Mar 01) – The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the assassination of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, by the United States and the Israeli regime.

 

China described this act as a serious violation of Iran’s sovereignty and national security, and as contrary to the principles of the United Nations Charter and fundamental rules of international relations.

 

China further emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East, stressing the need to prevent the escalation of the crisis in the region.

 


Tehran to Host Mourning Ceremonies Tonight

WANA (Mar 01) – Seyed Mohsen Mahmoudi, head of the Islamic Propagation Coordination Council of Tehran, announced that mourning ceremonies will take place tonight after Maghrib and Isha prayers in major squares across Tehran’s districts and villages, locations such as Haft-Houz, Tajrish, and Sattar Khan, etc.

WANA (Mar 01) – Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri expressed his condolences following the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei, describing him as a steadfast leader and guide.

 

Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, mourned the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei, stating: “We offer our condolences to the nation, the freedom-loving people of the world, and the wise religious authorities. We regard him as an Imam, a guide, a leader, and a devoted Mujahid who remained loyal to his covenant with God and never deviated from his path.”

Multiple Explosions Rock Tehran as U.S. and Israeli Attacks Continue

WANA (Mar 01) – Several powerful and successive explosions were heard minutes ago across northern and eastern Tehran. News sources have described the blasts as the result of missile and aerial strikes. Officials have not yet released full details regarding possible damage or casualties.

 

At the same time, reports have emerged of Israeli fighter jets flying extensively at low altitude over the capital. Some sources have also claimed that the Army Joint Staff headquarters was heavily bombed, although this has not been independently confirmed.

 

A new attack on Sepah Square in Tehran was reported minutes ago as well.

 


Wrestling National Teams’ Camp Hit in Attack

 

WANA (Mar 01) – Iran’s National Wrestling Teams’ camp, including the “Ebrahim Hadi” and “Mostafa Sadrzadeh” wrestling houses, was targeted in an attack following the aggression of the U.S. and the Israeli regime.

 

The attack caused damage to the restaurant, entrance areas, athletes’ accommodation rooms, heating and cooling facilities, electrical panels, security posts, and the camp’s entryway. Due to the completion of the national teams’ training camp and precautions taken by the federation, there were no casualties in the attack.

 


Advanced MQ9 Drone Destroyed by IRGC Air Defense Forces

 

WANA (Mar 01) – The Public Relations of the IRGC announced that the Air Defense Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have targeted and destroyed the highly advanced MQ9 drone of the U.S. army using cutting-edge defense systems, integrated into the country’s unified air defense network, in the southern region of Iran.

 

The MQ-9 is the first strike drone designed for long-duration reconnaissance at high altitudes. The MQ-9 is a larger, heavier, and more powerful aircraft than the MQ-1. It can be controlled using the same ground systems designed for the MQ-1.

 


Iraq Mourns After Reported Assassination of Iran’s Leader

WANA (Mar 01) – Following the announcement of the assassination of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Iraqi government and the country’s political and religious movements issued a range of official and public reactions—responses that have resonated widely across Iraqi cities and the broader regional landscape.

 

According to official Iraqi sources, the cities of Najaf, Karbala, Maysan, Basra, Diwaniyah, and Wasit declared Sunday an official holiday in response to the event. Meanwhile, the city of Babil witnessed large public mourning ceremonies.

 

At the political level, Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Sadrist Movement, along with Iraq’s Shiite Coordination Framework, issued separate statements offering condolences to the people of Iran and the wider Muslim world, emphasising the Iranian leader’s religious and political role in regional dynamics.

 

The Government of Iraq also declared three days of national mourning. Government spokesperson Bassem al-Awadi, in an official statement, expressed solidarity with the Iranian people and described the event as an act contrary to humanitarian principles and in violation of international laws and charters. In its fourth statement, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army declared: “Moments ago, the fighter jets of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Air Force carried out a successful bombing of U.S. bases in the Persian Gulf countries and the Kurdistan region of Iraq in several stages of operation.”

 

The Iranian Army further stated: “All enemy military centres in the region will be within the reach of the Air Force’s fighter jets.”

He said that when General Qassem Soleimani was killed, he believed he was experiencing the bitterest days of his life and felt as though the world had come to an end.

 

“I never imagined that a day would come when I would face circumstances even more painful than that,” he said, adding that he wished there had been time to speak about the depth and greatness of “that divine and devoted man.”

Death Toll in Minab School Attack Rises to 148, 95 Injured

 

WANA (Mar 01) – The death toll from the Israeli and U.S. airstrikes on Minab, located in Hormozgan Province, has risen to 148, with 95 others reported injured, according to local officials. The airstrikes, which took place early Saturday morning, targeted multiple areas in Iran, including a girls’ elementary school in Minab County.

 

The school, identified as Shajareh Tayyebeh, was directly hit during school hours, causing significant casualties among the students. The attack left many dead and wounded, triggering an immediate response from local medical facilities.

U.S. President Donald Trump wrote in a new post: “Iran just stated that they are going to hit very hard today, harder than they have ever hit before.”

 

He continued his warning: “They better not do that, however, because if they do, we will hit them with a force that has never been seen before!”

 


IRGC: The Most Intense Attacks Against Israel and the United States

WANA (Mar 01) – The Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that what it described as the most intense offensive operation in the history of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran has begun, targeting what it called the “occupied territories” and U.S. military bases.

 

The General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya also emphasized that the enemies of the Iranian nation—particularly the United States and Israel—would be made to regret their actions through strength, resolve, and public support.

 

The IRGC stated that Iran’s Armed Forces would carry out what it described as a “different and severe step” in retaliation.

 

In Statement No. 6, the IRGC Public Relations Office announced that 27 locations linked to U.S. bases in the region were targeted, along with Tel Nof Airbase, the Israeli army’s General Command Headquarters in HaKirya, and a major defense industry complex in Tel Aviv.

 

According to Statement No. 6, the sixth wave of “Operation True Promise 4” was conducted with extensive missile and drone strikes by the IRGC against targets in the “occupied territories” and U.S. military bases in the region….

 


Assassination of Major General Pakpour and Admiral Shamkhani

WANA (Mar 01) – Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme Defense Council, and Major General Mohammad Pakpour, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, were assassinated in an attack carried out by the United States and Israel.

 

According to reports, Admiral Shamkhani and Major General Pakpour were killed in the U.S.–Israeli attack that took place on Saturday.

 


Mokhber Outlines Iran’s Transitional Governance After Leader’s Assassination

WANA (Mar 01) – Following the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mohammad Mokhber, the aide to Iran’s late Supreme Leader outlined the country’s transition plan. According to Article 111 of the Iranian Constitution, the President, Head of the Judiciary, and a clerical member of the Guardian Council will manage the transitional period.

 

Mokhber assured the nation that despite the tragic loss of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, there will be no disruption to the path set by the Revolution’s leaders. He emphasized the Islamic system’s capacity to reorganise and maintain stability.

 

A council, comprising the President, Judiciary head, and a Guardian Council jurist, will temporarily assume the Leader’s responsibilities until a new Supreme Leader is appointed.

WANA (Mar 01) – The Supreme National Security Council announced in a statement the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, following what it described as a criminal attack by Israel and the United States.

 

The Supreme National Security Council issued a statement confirming the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in a criminal attack by Israel and the United States.

 

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was assassinated at his workplace in the Leader’s Office (Beit-e Rahbari).

 

At the moment of his martyrdom, he was carrying out his official duties and was present at his place of work (his office). The attack took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.

 

Also, news of the death of the daughter, son-in-law, and grandchild of Iran’s leader was confirmed.  It was also said that one of the Leader’s daughters-in-law was killed in Saturday morning’s attack.

 

The Government of Iran announced 40 days of national mourning and seven days of public holidays across the country following the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
