WANA ( Mar 05) – Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, issued a stark warning to Washington today following reports of a potential ground intervention in Iran. In a strongly worded statement, Larijani challenged U.S. officials to face the consequences of an escalation on Iranian soil.
“Some American officials have claimed they intend to launch a ground invasion of Iran,” Larijani stated. “The courageous children of Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei are waiting for you, ready to humiliate those wicked American officials with thousands of casualties and prisoners of war.”
Concluding with a defiant metaphor, the Secretary added: “The land of Iran is no place for the dance of the damned.”
Over 4,000 Civilian Buildings Destroyed in Recent Aggressions
WANA (Mar 05) – The President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society has released a report detailing the extensive destruction caused by recent attacks, confirming that over 4,000 civilian structures have been impacted.
According to the report, 3,646 residential and civilian units have been targeted so far, while 528 commercial units have been completely destroyed.
The humanitarian official further noted that 14 medical centers, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and specialized surgical clinics, have been hit by American-Zionist strikes. The damage is so severe that three hospitals have been rendered completely inoperable and are now out of service.
Tehran Mayor: 81 Tehran Metro Stations Being Prepared as Emergency Shelters

Zakani noted that the city’s urban management is not only utilizing existing infrastructure but is also in active negotiations with the private sector to further expand the network of urban shelters.
IRGC Intercepts and Destroys 4 Advanced Drones Over Iranian Airspace
WANA ( Mar 05) – The Public Relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that on Thursday, March 5 (14 Esfand), four hostile drones were shot down.
According to the statement, the intercepted aircraft included three advanced Hermes drones and one MQ-9 Reaper. The interceptions occurred over Western, Southwestern, and Southern Iran. The IRGC credited the success to its “advanced modern defense systems” operating under the country’s integrated air defense network.
Iran Denies Alleged Strike on Nakhchivan

WANA (Mar 05) – A Member of Iran’s Program and Budget Committee, Mohsen Zanganeh, in an interview, emphasised, “Currently, the situation regarding essential goods, medicine, and items like serum is very favorable.”
“The country’s strategic reserves are sufficient to meet national needs until the end of the Iranian year (March 20), and even until the end of Farvardin (the first month of the Persian calendar, which is equivalent to April 20).
“There are no concerns regarding essential goods and medicines. The country’s warehouses are fully stocked with wheat,” he added.
Azerbaijan Summons Iranian Ambassador Following Drone Strikes on Nakhchivan Airport
WANA (Mar 05) – In response to drone strikes on Nakhchivan Airport in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Azerbaijan has summoned Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchi Lou, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to a statement from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, around midday, drone attacks originating from Iranian territory targeted the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. One drone struck the terminal building of the Nakhchivan airport, while another crashed near a school building in the village of Shakarabad.
The Ministry condemned the attacks, which resulted in damage to the airport building and injuries to two civilians, calling them a violation of international norms and principles. Officials warned that such attacks increase regional tensions and are inconsistent with international law.

WANA (Mar 05) – The Iranian Red Crescent reported that 105 civilian locations have been targeted by Israeli and US airstrikes.
The affected areas include residential neighborhoods in Maragheh, Urmia, Lamerd, Isfahan, Hamedan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, and parts of Tehran, including Narmak, Shahid Keshvardoust, Qaem Residential Area, Shahid Boroujerdi Complex, and Kowsar Residential Complex.
The attacks have caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure across several provinces.

Al-Haidari stated: “We must fulfill our historic religious responsibility.” He condemned the U.S. and Israel, in cooperation with the West, for openly committing an act of aggression by assassinating one of the most revered religious leaders in the Muslim world, the Supreme Leader of Iran.
He emphasized that silence in the face of this crime is unacceptable, asserting: “Seeking revenge is not just a matter of justice, but a religious, doctrinal, moral, and human obligation.”

Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, confirmed the meeting, stating: “Yesterday afternoon, the Secretary-General accepted the request for a meeting with Ambassador Amir Saeed Iravani, the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held consultations with foreign ministers from several countries, including Iraq, Russia, Turkey, and France, to update them on the latest regional developments.
Pezeshkian Praises Spain’s Responsible Stance
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian took to social media to express gratitude to Spain for its principled stand against the blatant human rights violations and military aggression by the U.S.-Israeli coalition, which includes attacks on Iran. In his tweet on X (formerly Twitter), Pezeshkian wrote:

Baghaei Reacts to U.S. Senator’s Comments on Netanyahu’s War Plans
In a reaction to a comment made by U.S. Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders, who claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted war with Iran and received support from U.S. President Donald Trump, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson reacted, saying, “Unfortunately, it is true.”
Senator Sanders wrote on X that Netanyahu had sought billions of dollars to destroy Gaza and succeeded in obtaining them. He also noted that Netanyahu had wanted a war with Iran and added, “Trump has now given it to him.”
Sanders went on to say that U.S. foreign and military policy should be determined by the American people, not by Netanyahu’s far-right government.
