WANA (Mar 29) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has expressed appreciation to the government and people of Armenia for their support to Iran, particularly in facilitating the transfer of citizens and providing humanitarian assistance.
In a statement, he said the assistance offered by the government of Armenia and its people in helping Iranian nationals and delivering humanitarian aid is highly commendable.
He added that the longstanding ties between Iran and Armenia have once again demonstrated their strength during difficult circumstances, noting that these “brotherly actions” will remain in the memory of the Iranian people.
Rezaei Warns of Stronger Iranian Retaliation if Attacks Continue
WANA (Mar 29) – Major General Mohsen Rezaei, former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps during the Iran–Iraq War, wrote on X that Iran’s response to any enemy attacks will be significantly stronger.
He wrote: “Any level of damage inflicted by the enemy will be met with a far more severe response from Iran. Our patience is limited, but our capacity for endurance is high. The country’s armed forces are equipped with capabilities and tools that will be used if the conflict continues.”
IRGC Missile Strikes Hit Industrial Site in Southern Israel
WANA (Mar 29) – The public relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said an industrial zone in southern Israel was struck during what it described as the 86th wave of its ongoing military operation.
According to the statement, the Neot Hovav industrial area in Beersheba was targeted by ballistic missiles, leading to successive explosions and what it described as a widespread power outage in the area.

WANA (Mar 29) – Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran’s Parliament speaker, reacted to the “No Kings” protests in the United States with a message posted on X.

IRGC Says Shahed-136 Drone Downed U.S. AWACS Aircraft
WANA (Mar 29) – The public relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that a Boeing E-3 Sentry—valued at $700 million and commonly known as AWACS—was targeted while attempting to evade attacks by IRGC naval and aerospace forces.
According to the statement, the aircraft was struck by a Shahed 136 drone, which not only hit the large and costly aircraft but also caused serious damage to other nearby aerial assets.
The IRGC statement added that the Shahed-136 reflects Quranic verses, including: “And you did not throw when you threw, but Allah threw,” and “How many a small group has overcome a large group by permission of Allah.”

WANA (Mar 29) – Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, responded to U.S. media reports about the rapid depletion of American Tomahawk missile stockpiles due to their extensive use in military actions against Iran. In a post on X, he wrote:
“If they had saved the two missiles they fired at Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab on 28 February, they could have proudly boasted today of two extra Tomahawks in their inventory to drop on another school, a university, a hospital, or a cultural-historical site.”

WANA (Mar 29) – The Iranian Army reported that earlier today, an enemy U.S.-Israeli MQ-9 drone was intercepted and destroyed by the Army Air Defense system east of the Strait of Hormuz.
With this latest drone, the total number of unmanned aerial vehicles destroyed by the country’s integrated Air Defense Joint Headquarters network has reached 138.

WANA (Mar 29) – In the latest wave of attacks, several cultural and artistic centers in the capital were hit, leaving the Documentary, Experimental and Animation Film Center building damaged.
According to reports, the attacks occurred on Saturday in two phases, at 2:00 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. The strikes, described by local sources as indiscriminate and lacking a clear military target, caused significant damage to residential buildings, urban infrastructure, and public property, and left a number of civilians injured.
Among the affected sites was the Documentary, Experimental and Animation Film Center, where parts of the fourth floor, courtyard, and studio spaces were damaged.

IRGC Says E-3 AWACS Aircraft Destroyed

WANA (Mar 29) – The Public Relations Office of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that, in response to what it described as hostile actions by the U.S. military, at least one E-3 aircraft, commonly known as an AWACS, was completely destroyed at Al Kharj Air Base in Saudi Arabia during a joint missile and drone operation carried out by the IRGC Aerospace Force.
According to the statement, the aircraft — used for airborne surveillance, command, and control — was “fully destroyed,” while other nearby aircraft also sustained serious damage.
The IRGC added that the operation followed an earlier strike targeting aerial refueling aircraft at the same base.
Damage to Al Arabi TV Building Following Airstrikes in Tehran
WANA (Mar 29) – Following U.S. airstrikes on Tehran, the building of the Al Arabi television network sustained damage.
Reports indicate that parts of the media facility were affected by the attack.
Previously, during U.S. and Israeli strikes, the Tehran office of the Russian network RT (Russia Today) had also been damaged.
Estimated $26.7 Billion Cost of U.S. Military Strikes on Iran in One Month
WANA (Mar 29) – According to data released by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the cost of U.S. military strikes against Iran had reached approximately $26.74 billion as of March 27, 2026.
Reports indicate that the financial scale of this one-month operation is unprecedented, including expenses such as around $10 billion for air defense interceptor missiles, as well as the execution of more than 10,000 strikes across the region.
Heavy Casualties Among Teachers and Students in Recent Attacks on Civilian Areas in Iran

WANA (Mar 29) – According to published reports, a number of teachers and students have been killed or injured following U.S. and Israeli strikes on civilian areas in Iran since the start of the conflict.
Figures indicate that as of March 28, a total of 281 members of the education community — including 226 students and 55 teachers — have lost their lives.
An additional 191 people, including 170 students and 21 teachers, have been injured in these attacks.
Meanwhile, reports also point to damage to 789 educational facilities across the country, including 700 schools.
