New Poll Says More Than Half of Iranians Joined Night Gatherings
WANA (May 02) – A new nationwide survey suggests that public participation in nighttime gatherings across Iran has risen sharply, with more than half of respondents saying they have taken part at least once in recent weeks.
According to findings released by the Meta Social Analysis Center, 53 percent of respondents said they had participated in nighttime public gatherings at least one time. The survey was conducted amid continued evening crowds in city squares and neighborhoods expressing support for Iran’s armed forces.

UAE Resolution Against Iran Gains Only 42% Support at IMO
WANA (May 02) – The outcome of a vote on a UAE-sponsored resolution against Iran at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has shown that, despite political pressure and rhetoric surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, no broad consensus against Tehran exists within the UN maritime body.
During the 84th session of the IMO’s Marine Environment Protection Committee, 59 countries voted in favor of the draft resolution out of a total of 132 member states involved in the voting process. Meanwhile, 32 countries abstained, three voted against, and 38 did not participate.

Over 31 Million Join Iran’s “JanFada” Campaign
WANA (May 02) – More than 50 percent of eligible citizens have joined Iran’s “JanFada” (“Devoted Lives”) campaign, according to its spokesperson, making it one of the largest public mobilization drives in the country in recent years.
Sasan Zare, spokesperson for the campaign, said at a press conference in Tehran that more than 31.3 million people have registered so far. He said the initiative was created to demonstrate public readiness to defend the country and contribute in different national sectors.
