WANA (May 10) – A bulk carrier operating in the waters near Doha was struck by an unidentified projectile earlier today, according to a report from the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).

 

The impact reportedly sparked a fire on board the vessel, though crew members were able to successfully extinguish the flames.

 

According to the report, a resulting fire has been extinguished and no casualties have been reported.
