WANA (Jul 18) – The permanent representatives of Iran, China, and Russia in Vienna held a trilateral meeting on Thursday to discuss and exchange views on the recent attacks against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, stated on his Telegram channel that the meeting was convened to examine the situation following what he called the “unlawful and irresponsible attacks by the United States and Israel” on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Ulyanov wrote: “Today, I met with my esteemed colleagues — the permanent representatives of Iran and China — to exchange views on the current situation that has arisen as a result of the attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, which are under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

The meeting comes amid recent direct airstrikes by Israel and the United States targeting Iran’s peaceful nuclear infrastructure. Iran has called for a clear and firm response from the IAEA and its member states.

No details have yet been released regarding the content of the discussions or any potential outcomes of the trilateral meeting.
