WANA (Jun 13) – Following the criminal assault carried out by the Israeli regime at dawn today against Iran, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, issued a message to the Iranian nation.

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

 

To the great nation of Iran,

 

At dawn today, the Zionist regime committed a heinous crime on our beloved soil, once again revealing its vile nature by targeting residential areas. This regime must now await a severe punishment.

By God’s will, the powerful arm of the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces will not let it go unpunished.

 

In the enemy’s attacks, a number of commanders and scientists were martyred. Their successors and colleagues will, God willing, immediately take up their responsibilities and continue the path.

 

With this crime, the Zionist regime has paved the way for a bitter and painful fate for itself — a fate it will undoubtedly face.

In the early hours of Friday, reports emerged of multiple explosions being heard in various parts of Tehran.

 

At the same time, Israel’s Defense Minister declared a state of special emergency across the entire home front in the occupied territories—an action Israeli officials say is in response to “growing threats from Iran and the Axis of Resistance.”

 

According to incoming reports, most of the targeted buildings were located in residential areas and were non-military structures. A number of the casualties were women and children.

 

As of now, the assassinations of General Hossein Salami, Iranian nuclear scientist Fereydoon Abbasi, Dr. Mohammad-Mehdi Tehranchi, and General Gholam-Ali Rashid have been confirmed by official Iranian news agencies.
