WANA (Aug 31) – Following the decisive victory of Iran’s national youth volleyball team in the world championship, the Leader of Iran issued a message expressing appreciation for the efforts and achievements of the country’s young athletes.

 

The message from the Leader of Iran reads:

“In the name of God

Dear young volleyball champions,

With your excellent performance, you have brought joy to the hearts of the Iranian people. I thank all of you.

Seyyed Ali Khamenei”

 

Additionally, the President of Iran sent a separate message congratulating the people of Iran, the coaches, and each member of the national youth volleyball team on this significant achievement, emphasizing that the nation’s youth have once again demonstrated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is capable of reaching the highest levels and nurturing its extraordinary talents on the global stage.

The Iranian national youth volleyball team, after achieving eight consecutive victories in the preliminary and knockout stages, advanced to the final of the under-21 men’s world championship. On Sunday, at 15:30, the team faced Italy in the final and defeated them 3-1, securing their ninth consecutive win and claiming the world championship title for the third time.

 

This victory came as the Iranian youth team remained undefeated throughout the tournament, standing proudly atop the world podium.
