WANA (Jun 08) – A military source has stated that Iran is fully prepared for a prolonged confrontation with Israel and for targeting U.S. interests in the region if necessary, adding that all required plans and preparations for such a scenario have already been put in place.

 

The source emphasized that Israel and the United States would be making a serious miscalculation if they believe they can manage the situation through a strategy of “controlled escalation” or limit the scope of Iran’s response.

 

According to the source, any attempt to make Iran and the Resistance Axis predictable or to impose limits on Tehran’s reaction is detached from the realities on the ground.

 

The source further said that Iran intends to raise both the level of confrontation and the scale of punishment imposed on Israel to a point that would make it regret continuing its actions. He added that developments in the coming days would demonstrate how Washington and Tel Aviv have once again misjudged Iran’s calculations and response.

 

Referring to Iran’s long-standing support for its regional allies, the source stressed that the Islamic Republic has consistently shown that it does not abandon its partners within the Resistance Axis and that this policy remains unchanged.

 

In another part of his remarks, the source described the United States as complicit in Israel’s actions, arguing that Washington cannot separate itself from the consequences of Israeli policies and operations.

 

He said efforts to portray the U.S. and Israel as acting on separate tracks are largely political and propagandistic, and that Iran does not accept such a distinction.

 

The comments come amid heightened regional tensions and growing speculation over the nature and scope of Iran’s potential response to recent developments.
