WANA (May 05) – An Iranian military source has dismissed the United States’ claim that it targeted Iranian speedboats, describing the statement as inaccurate. According to the source, none of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) naval vessels were hit in the incident.

The source stated that investigations based on local reports indicate U.S. forces fired on two small civilian boats carrying goods. These boats were reportedly traveling from Khasab, on Oman’s coast, toward Iran.

According to the report, the boats were destroyed in the attack, and five civilian passengers were killed. The source criticized the action and called for those responsible to be held accountable.

The source also cited assessments by informed observers, suggesting the incident may have resulted from hasty decision-making and heightened anxiety among U.S. forces regarding IRGC speedboat operations in the region.
