An informed military source called CENTCOM’s recent claim regarding the status of the Strait of Hormuz completely baseless early this morning and emphasized that this strategic waterway remains blocked.

 

In response to statements by the “terrorist organization CENTCOM,” which claimed that Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz, this military source said: “The Strait of Hormuz will remain blocked and will not open as long as hostile and aggressive U.S. actions continue.”

 

CENTCOM had claimed hours earlier that despite threats from the IRGC Navy, commercial ships were passing through the strait with U.S. military support.

 

The Americans make such claims while in recent days, by targeting some southern parts of the country including fishing boats and infrastructure such as bridges and roads, they tried to exert pressure to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, but they have failed in this attempt as well.

 

This military source also noted that the authority to manage traffic in this waterway belongs exclusively to Iran.

 

Yesterday evening, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters also issued a statement, while emphasizing that the Strait of Hormuz is closed, declaring: “Any ship intending to pass through this waterway is required to travel exclusively through the route designated by Iran and act strictly according to the arrangements announced by the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

 

This statement also emphasized that any deviation from the designated routes or disregard for Iran’s protocols will face an immediate and decisive response from the armed forces and will endanger the security of the violating vessel.
