Minab School and Lamerd Sports Hall Attacks Among Hundreds of War Crimes
WANA (Apr 01) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has reacted to U.S. media reports regarding the use of a new missile in an attack on a sports hall in Lamerd, Fars Province, which resulted in the deaths of 21 young athletes.
In a statement posted on X, Baghaei emphasized that the targeting of the Minab school and the Lamerd sports hall are merely two examples of hundreds of war crimes committed by the aggressors.
“This is not an isolated act of cruelty—it is part of a systematic and brutal pattern of illegal warfare against Iran,” Baghaei stated.
He noted that over the past 33 days, aggressors have deliberately targeted more than 600 schools and educational centers, including the Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab and the Lamerd Sports Hall.
The spokesman further argued that the term “war crime” is insufficient to describe these atrocities.
Citing the explicit hostile rhetoric toward the Iranian nation expressed by U.S. and Israeli officials, Baghaei concluded that these actions amount to genocide.
