WANA (Jul 01) – Iran’s Acting Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics has reaffirmed that the country’s defense capabilities are not open to negotiation, stressing that Iran’s missile and drone programs remain a national security red line and will continue to be developed through indigenous capabilities.

 

Brigadier General Seyed Majid Ebnolreza made the remarks in a post on his X account following a meeting with members of the Iranian Parliament’s Economic Commission. He said the session focused on the dimensions, achievements, and characteristics of what he referred to as the “Ramadan War.”

 

In his statement, Ebnolreza emphasized that “the Islamic Republic of Iran’s defense, missile, and drone capabilities are a red line for national security. They have never been negotiable and never will be.”

 

The acting defense minister added that these capabilities will continue to be expanded by relying on domestic expertise and indigenous resources, reaffirming that Iran’s efforts to strengthen its defense capabilities will proceed without any change in direction.

 

Ebnolreza’s remarks come as Iranian officials have repeatedly maintained that the country’s defense capabilities and missile program fall within Iran’s national defense doctrine and are therefore not subject to negotiations.
