Missile Strike Hits Only Sea Ambulance Serving Iran’s Hormuz Island
WANA (Mar 11) – A sea ambulance operating on Hormuz Island in southern Iran was struck during what Iranian sources described as a U.S.–Israeli attack on Wednesday.
According to local reports, the vessel was stationed at the Shahid Fatemeh Nik Pier when it was hit by missiles at approximately 12:15 p.m. local time.
The attack reportedly targeted the only sea ambulance serving the island. No emergency personnel were inside the vessel at the time of the strike, and no casualties were immediately reported.
The sea ambulance is used to transport emergency patients from Hormuz Island to the provincial capital, Bandar Abbas, in Hormozgan Province for urgent medical treatment.
