WANA (Mar 24) – The Deputy for Communications and Information at the Iranian President’s Office announced the appointment of Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr as Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

Earlier, Ali Larijani served as Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council but was assassinated during the “Ramadan War.”

Statements and positions of the late Ali Ardeshir Larijani showed that he played a highly influential role during the recent imposed war, particularly in countering the enemy’s psychological operations and responding to remarks by the U.S. President. For this reason, he was placed on an assassination list.

At the beginning of the war, Larijani declared Iran’s readiness for a long-term conflict, emphasizing that the country was prepared for a prolonged war.

On the sidelines of Quds Day—where images of his presence were widely covered in foreign media, especially Israeli networks—he said in an interview: “Trump does not have the intelligence or understanding to realize that the Iranian people are a strong, resilient, and determined nation. The more pressure he applies, the stronger the resolve of the Iranian people will become.”
