WANA (Jun 20) – Mohammad Mokhber, advisor and assistant to the Supreme Leader of Iran, warned that the flow of energy from the Middle East will remain suspended as long as international agreements exist only on paper.

 

In a statement published on his official social media account, Mokhber addressed the current diplomatic impasse and economic leverage, stating that the Americans best understand the language of cost-benefit economics. He asserted that when an agreement fails to materialize beyond paper, the Middle East’s energy flow stops as well.

 

The senior official emphasized that Iranian negotiators would not settle for anything less than the full implementation of commitments and the complete restoration of the nation’s rights.

 

Concluding his statement with a message of resolve, Mokhber stressed that while the blood of every single martyr, the martyred Imam, and the children of Minab will neither be forgiven nor forgotten, the immediate focus remains on securing full compliance with the accord.

 

His remarks follow the announcement of the Strait of Hormuz closure following US non-compliance with the primary clause of the recently signed peace agreement and continuous ceasefire violations by the Israeli regime, by attacking Lebanon.

 

According to the first clause of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Iran and the U.S., which was digitally signed by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and U.S. President Donald Trump, in the early hours of Thursday, June 18, 2026, any war or military operation must halt, and it also insisted upon the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon.
