WANA (Jul 15) – The head of the Iranian Health Ministry’s Public Relations and Information Center said more than 260 people have been injured in the latest wave of attacks on the country, adding that 222 of the wounded have been treated and discharged from hospital.

 

Hossein Kermanpour said in a post on X that the casualties include three women and six people under the age of 18. He also said two women were among those killed and called for prayers for those who remain hospitalized.

 

Separately, the Iranian Army’s Ground Force said the U.S. military fired 13 missiles at one of its barracks in Bampur County early Tuesday, killing seven members of the 388th Iranshahr Brigade, including two career personnel and five conscripts, and injuring 13 others.

 

The Army statement identified the dead as Staff Sergeant Farshad Alavi, Staff Sergeant Reza Shafiei, and conscripts Alireza Ghasemi, Hossein Jafari, Abbas Hassanshahi, Abbas Hesameddini, and Abolfazl Molaei.

 

According to the Army, the strike targeted the barracks’ dormitory, accommodation, guesthouse, and guard posts with the aim of causing the highest possible casualties, but passive defense measures helped prevent greater loss of life. The wounded are currently receiving medical treatment.
