National Cohesion and Strategic Planning Thwart Enemy Objectives
WANA (Apr 28) – The Iranian Government Spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani stated on Tuesday, April 28, that Iran’s internal cohesion and strategic diplomacy have successfully neutralized foreign attempts to destabilize the country.
Speaking at a weekly press conference held at the Tarasht Power Plant, Mohajerani emphasized that the administration remains fully prepared for multiple scenarios, including maritime challenges and infrastructure defense.
National Unity and Strategic Leadership
Mohajerani underscored that the President, as the head of the Supreme National Security Council, leads all major decision-making regarding recent regional conflicts. She addressed claims made by U.S. President Donald Trump, warning that “creating public confusion” is a primary enemy strategy.
Internal Cohesion: Mohajerani noted that the unified voice of the nation’s leadership—under one flag and one path—has been the critical factor in preventing the enemy from achieving its goals.
Support for Armed Forces: The government has committed full logistical and financial support to the military, while simultaneously managing diplomatic channels to influence global public opinion.
Response to “Maritime Hostage-Taking”
Addressing the reported naval blockade, the spokesperson revealed that the government had developed comprehensive contingency plans as early as Autumn 2024, anticipating the current U.S. administration’s policies.
“The possibility of such actions, which can be described as ‘maritime hostage-taking,’ was foreseen and included in our strategic scenarios,” Mohajerani said, adding that Iran’s primary counter-strategy relies on its “Good Neighborliness” policy and its unique geographical position.
Reconstruction and Infrastructure Damage
Mohajerani provided a detailed report on domestic damage and recovery efforts. According to the Ministry of Interior data:
- Approximately 118,180 private sector units have been affected, with 8,134 sustaining major damage and 2,529 requiring complete reconstruction.
- Reconstruction will be funded by the government and executed through the Central Bank, Iran Insurance, and the Housing Foundation. Municipalities in major cities will take the lead on rebuilding projects to ensure agility and speed.
Diplomatic Achievement in Kyrgyzstan
The spokesperson also hailed a major diplomatic achievement at a summit held in Bishkek on April 27. She reported that participating nations formally condemned attacks on Iran’s communication infrastructure as a violation of international law and the UN Charter.
This success, spearheaded by the Ministry of ICT, also included agreements on enhancing digital infrastructure resilience and regional AI development.
