Nationwide Rallies in Iran to Support Gaza This Friday
WANA (Jul 23) – In response to a call by Iran’s Islamic Propagation Coordination Council, nationwide rallies titled “Fridays of Rage and Victory” will be held across Iran on Friday, July 25, 2025, following the Friday Prayers, to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza and condemn the actions of the Israeli regime.
In an official statement, the Council cited the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and urged all Iranians to take part in the demonstrations. The statement reads:
“Severe famine, hunger, thirst, displacement, massacres, bombings, and the deaths of children have become daily realities for the defenseless and oppressed people of Gaza — a land now facing one of the most unprecedented human catastrophes, amid the silence of certain Arab and Islamic governments and the inaction of human rights organizations.”
The Council strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s ongoing actions, stating: “Gaza has turned into a full-scale killing field. The brutal Zionist regime is destroying essential infrastructure, imposing a food blockade, and attacking public gatherings — using hunger and thirst as tools of systematic extermination.”
The statement further criticized recent attacks on humanitarian aid lines: “What is happening in Gaza reflects the utter failure and desperation of a regime that has failed to achieve its objectives and now resorts to the most despicable tactics, such as targeting bread lines and food aid distributions.”
The Council called on the international community to investigate the alarming patterns in aid distribution and the potential role of the United States and the Israeli regime in escalating the humanitarian crisis. It also warned Islamic governments that ignoring the suffering of the Palestinian people would carry grave consequences both in this world and the hereafter.
In conclusion, the Council invited all worshippers and citizens to take part in Friday’s rallies to demonstrate their “tangible solidarity with the Palestinian nation and the oppressed around the world” and to declare their “revulsion toward the Israeli regime and the United States.”
