WANA (Jul 17) – Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani stated that any decision regarding entering or leaving negotiations will be made solely based on Iran’s national interests.

Her remarks came in response to a recent comment by the Israeli Prime Minister suggesting that Iran should reduce the range of its missiles as part of future negotiations.

“As previously emphasized, all actions—whether engaging in talks or stepping away from the negotiating table—will be evaluated based on national interests and carried out in line with the principles we have followed so far,” Mohajerani said in an interview.

Prevoisly, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had also clarified that Iran’s military capabilities are off the table.

On the topic of cybersecurity, Mohajerani also noted that the Iranian government has comprehensive plans to enhance national cybersecurity, though she added that due to security considerations, the details of these initiatives cannot be publicly disclosed.
