WANA (Jun 23) – Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, condemned the recent U.S. attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, describing it as a desperate move by President Donald Trump to rescue Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from political collapse.

In a televised statement aired Monday, Mousavi stated, “Trump, by violating all international laws, entered the airspace of our dear country Iran and launched attacks on three points of our sacred soil, causing damage.”

He added that regardless of the scale of the destruction, “the crime itself and the desecration of our sovereignty will not go unanswered, by God’s grace.”

Mousavi emphasized that the U.S. operation was carried out “out of desperation and aimed at saving its proxy force—the Zionist regime—and Netanyahu personally. When Trump saw signs of weakness and failure in Netanyahu, he attempted to resuscitate him through this action. But this was a grave mistake.”

The top commander said Iran’s military had already warned about the consequences of such aggression and pledged a strong response.

“We will continue punishing Netanyahu with full force until he is brought to misery, by God’s permission. Regarding this American mistake, we will respond decisively and proportionately to the act of aggression,” he said.

General Mousavi also expressed gratitude to the Iranian people:

“Once again, I thank this dear, unmatched, and perceptive nation. The presence, spirit, resilience, and unity of the people—which reminds us of the Sacred Defense era—along with their support for the armed forces and mutual cooperation, is our morale booster and the fuel for our missiles and drones.”

He added: The love of this nation, when placed in the capable hands of the armed forces, turns into fiery Sejjil missiles that will burn the roots of the enemy. Truly, from the depths of my heart, I love the people of Iran. I, as an Iranian soldier, even if killed a thousand times for your beliefs, still wish to be revived by the love of the people, fight the enemies of this nation, and be martyred again.”

Concluding his remarks, the Chief of Staff stressed: “It is crystal clear that the children of such a nation in the armed forces will never compromise with any aggressor and will respond with full force—God willing.”
