WANA (Jun 10) – A military source has revealed new details about a drone operation carried out by the Iranian Army against U.S.-linked targets in Bahrain early Wednesday.

 

According to the source, Iranian drone units targeted the Sheikh Isa Air Base and a strategic radar site used by U.S. forces in Bahrain during the early hours of the day. The source stated that a newly developed attack drone was deployed in the operation.

 

The military source described the strike as part of Iran’s response to U.S. attacks conducted the previous night against several locations in Iran’s Hormozgan Province. The operation was characterized as a retaliatory measure carried out by Iran’s armed forces.

 

Earlier, Iranian military sources had reported that long-range ballistic missiles and drones launched by the country’s armed forces penetrated air defense systems stationed at U.S. military facilities across West Asia and struck a number of designated targets.

 

According to statements issued by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Army, the targets included Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan, Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. The sources claimed that a significant portion of the intended targets were hit with precision.
