WANA (Oct 03) – The spokesperson of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) announced in response to reporters’ questions that no assets or bank accounts belonging to the AEOI have been frozen in Turkey.

Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesperson and deputy for international, legal, and parliamentary affairs of the AEOI, reacting to reports in certain media outlets claiming that the Turkish government had issued a formal directive to seize the AEOI’s assets and those of affiliated companies, expressed surprise at such claims attributed to Turkish authorities. He emphasized that, based on investigations, there has been no freezing of funds or properties belonging to the organization or its associated companies in Turkey.

Earlier, some media outlets had reported that Turkey had seized the assets of the AEOI and several affiliated companies following the reimposition of previously terminated UN Security Council resolutions against Iran.
