No Negotiations With U.S., Oil Exports from Khark Island Stable
WANA (Mar 20) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy said that no negotiations with the United States are currently underway, while emphasizing that security remains stable on Kharg Island and that oil exports are continuing without disruption.
Ebrahim Rezaei briefed reporters following a committee session attended by senior military officials and representatives from the Ministry of Defense. He said the meeting reviewed the latest battlefield developments involving Iranian forces and what he described as “Israeli and American aggression,” adding that recent days have seen “significant and effective” strikes against opposing forces.
He added that there are no concerns regarding Iran’s missile or defensive stockpiles, stating that the armed forces are operating at peak readiness and responding decisively to any hostile actions.
The official further warned that any country allowing its territory or bases to be used by adversaries would be treated as a hostile party.
Addressing Khark Island, a key hub for Iran’s oil exports, Rezaei said security is fully maintained, and oil shipments are proceeding without interruption, with oil sector workers continuing operations around the clock.
Reiterating Iran’s position on diplomacy, he said there are currently no talks with the United States, adding that Tehran is focused on what he described as “deterring and punishing aggressors.” He dismissed reports of ceasefire or negotiation talks as misinformation, alleging they are aimed at influencing energy and oil markets.
Rezaei concluded by stating that Iran will continue to respond to military actions while pursuing deterrence and retribution for those it considers responsible for the conflict.
