WANA (Jun 04) – An informed Iranian source has claimed that, contrary to Western media reports, no date has been set so far for the next round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States.

Western media outlets reported that a sixth round of nuclear talks between White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi could take place this weekend in the Middle East.

This is while Washington is still waiting to receive Iran’s response to its proposal in the coming days.

The first round of these indirect talks between Iran and the U.S., mediated by Oman, was held on April 12 in Muscat, and the second round of talks took place in Rome on Saturday, April 19, again with Oman as the intermediary.

The third round of talks, which took place on Saturday, April 26, was also in Oman. Iran and the United States concluded their fourth round of indirect negotiations in Muscat on Sunday, May 11. The fifth round of talks also took place in Italy on May 23.
