WANA (Nov 01) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated in an interview with Qatari media that Tehran will not negotiate on its missile program, cannot halt uranium enrichment, and has no interest in direct talks with Washington.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Araghchi said Iran is prepared for all scenarios and anticipates any aggressive actions by Israel. “We are at the highest state of readiness at all levels, and Israel will face another defeat in any future conflict. We gained significant experience from previous wars and tested our missiles in real combat. Any aggressive move by Israel will have dire consequences,” he added.

Preventing Regional Escalation

Araghchi emphasized that Israel attempted to expand conflict in the region by targeting Iranian oil facilities. “We managed the war with Israel carefully and prevented it from spreading across the region,” he said, adding that Israel would not have initiated war without U.S. approval. He also described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a war criminal and reiterated that Israel is the region’s true adversary.

Nuclear Program and Negotiations

On Iran’s nuclear program, Araghchi said: “We are ready to negotiate to remove concerns about our nuclear program and are confident in its peaceful nature. Reaching a fair agreement is possible, but Washington has proposed unacceptable and impossible conditions.”

He added, “We will never negotiate our missile program, and no rational actor would disarm. We cannot stop uranium enrichment, and what cannot be achieved by war cannot be achieved through politics. We have no desire for direct talks with Washington but can reach an agreement for indirect negotiations.”

“The nuclear materials remain under the rubble of the facilities that were bombed and have not been moved elsewhere. We suffered damage at the level of buildings and nuclear equipment, but the technology remains intact, he stated.”

Regional Relations and Syria

Araghchi criticized European efforts to reactivate the “snapback” mechanism, calling it illegal and lacking international consensus. He emphasized Iran’s priority on strengthening ties with neighboring countries while engaging with the West on terms free from imposed dictates.

On Syria, the Iranian minister reaffirmed support for the country’s independence and territorial integrity and condemned Israeli aggression against it.
