No Vessel May Transit the Strait of Hormuz Without Iran’s Authorization
WANA (Jul 29) – An informed military source said the Strait of Hormuz remains fully closed and that no vessel is permitted to transit the strategic waterway without authorization from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the source, Iran’s Armed Forces maintain full control over the Strait of Hormuz. Any attempt to pass through the waterway—particularly by vessels that ignore official warnings—will be met with an immediate and decisive response from Iranian forces.
The source also reported that three tankers were intercepted overnight after allegedly disregarding repeated warnings from the IRGC Navy and continuing along what was described as an unauthorized and unsafe route. The vessels were subsequently engaged by Iranian forces, brought to a halt, and prevented from continuing their voyage.
