Official Funeral Schedule Announced for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
WANA (Jun 13) – The committee organizing the funeral ceremonies for the late Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, has released its third statement outlining the schedule for the public farewells, processions, and burial.
According to the official announcement, the multi-day ceremonies will be held jointly for Ayatollah Khamenei and several of his family members—identified as Dr. Misbahal-Hoda Bagheri-Kani, Seyedeh Bushra Hosseini Khamenei, Zahra Haddad-Adel, and Zahra Mohammadi Golpayegani.
The schedule for the ceremonies across multiple Iranian cities is as follows:
- Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5, 2026: Public viewing and farewell ceremonies at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran.
- Monday, July 6, 2026: Public funeral procession in Tehran.
- Tuesday, July 7, 2026: Funeral procession in the city of Qom.
- Thursday, July 9, 2026: Final procession in Mashhad, followed by the burial ceremony at the Imam Reza Shrine.
The organizing committee extended its condolences to the public and to Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
The statement concluded by thanking state institutions and public volunteers for coordinating the logistical arrangements, adding that further details will be provided in upcoming bulletins.
