WANA (Jun 27) – An oil tanker was struck by an unidentified projectile in Omani waters, causing damage to its deck, while all crew members remained unharmed.

 

According to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), the vessel was hit by an unknown projectile. The ship’s captain reported damage to the deck but confirmed that all crew members were safe and accounted for.

 

Media reports also said that several explosions were heard in the area around the time of the incident. UKMTO stated that the vessel is being assessed following the attack.

 

No environmental pollution has been reported so far, and authorities have not identified the source of the projectile or who may have been responsible for the incident.
