WANA (Jul 12) – The Omani government has strongly condemned the drone attacks targeting several locations in Musandam Province, describing them as a violation of the country’s sovereignty and national security. The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the source of the attacks and those responsible have not yet been identified, and investigations are ongoing.

 

In a statement, the ministry stressed that Oman rejects any military action that threatens regional security and stability. It called for an immediate end to hostilities, a reduction in tensions, and a return to dialogue and diplomacy.

 

The ministry also reaffirmed Oman’s commitment to its long-standing policy of neutrality and its continued efforts to promote regional security, stability, and peace.

 

Meanwhile, the Oman News Agency, citing a security source, reported that several locations in Musandam Province were targeted in the drone attacks. Musandam is a mountainous region in northern Oman overlooking the Strait of Hormuz and bordering the United Arab Emirates. Authorities said the investigation into the incident and those responsible remains ongoing.
