WANA (Apr 10) – The President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Pirhossein Kolivand, has released a comprehensive report detailing the extensive damage to civilian infrastructure following the recent conflict, referred to as the “Third Imposed War.”

According to the latest data, a total of 125,630 civilian units across the country have sustained damage. Of these, 100,000 are residential properties, with officials noting that a significant portion of these homes have been completely destroyed.

Impact on Commerce and Healthcare

The report highlights that the destruction extends beyond housing, severely impacting the nation’s economic and medical stability. Approximately 23,500 commercial units—representing the primary livelihoods of many citizens—have been damaged. Furthermore, 339 medical and healthcare facilities were struck during the hostilities, complicating relief efforts for the injured.

Targeting of Educational and Humanitarian Centers

Educational institutions and humanitarian infrastructure were also caught in the crosshairs. The Red Crescent confirmed that 32 universities and 857 schools sustained damage. Additionally, 20 Red Crescent centers, which serve as hubs for emergency response, were targeted by enemy forces.

Critical Infrastructure Losses

The assessment concluded with an overview of damage to vital national infrastructure. Roughly 15 major logistical sites, including fuel storage tanks, airports, and several civilian aircraft, were affected, posing long-term challenges for the country’s transportation and energy sectors.
