WANA (Jun 13) – Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry announced that Islamabad will host a virtual signing ceremony tomorrow for a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States, according to reports.

 

The announcement was first signaled during a phone call between Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan, where Dar confirmed that the electronic signing ceremony was scheduled to take place in the Pakistani capital on Sunday.

 

The diplomatic development coincides with unconfirmed reports suggesting that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to lead a high-level delegation to Islamabad tomorrow.

 

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif heightened expectations on Saturday, stating on social media platform X that a breakthrough appears imminent.

 

“We are closer than ever to a peace agreement (MoU),” Sharif wrote. “With the finalization of matters expected potentially within the next 24 hours, Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of this agreement immediately thereafter, with technical-level talks to follow next week.”

 

The Prime Minister’s statement gained further traction after it was reposted by US President Donald Trump.
