WANA (Aug 22) – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, has departed Islamabad for Tehran leading a high-level delegation for talks with senior Iranian officials.

 

According to informed sources, Pakistani Interior Minister Senator Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi is accompanying the army chief on this visit.

 

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed the trip, stating that the visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Iran and Pakistan and continue Islamabad’s good offices in promoting regional peace and stability.

 

Field Marshal Munir, who is spearheading mediation efforts between Iran and the United States, previously conducted visits to Tehran on April 15 and May 21, where he met with top Iranian leadership, including President Masoud Pezeshkian.
