WANA (May 23) – The Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi for the second time on Saturday afternoon to continue high-level consultations.

This follow-up meeting comes after late-night discussions between the two officials on Friday.

According to sources, the extended Friday night session focused heavily on ongoing diplomatic efforts and initiatives aimed at preventing further escalation in the region.

The two sides discussed measures to halt hostilities, which Tehran characterizes as an “imposed war by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran.”

Additionally, the discussions covered strategic mechanisms to strengthen peace, stability, and security across the West Asian region.
