WANA (Jun 20) – The Pakistani Interior Minister arrived in Tehran on Saturday for high-level diplomatic talks and was received by his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni.

 

Mohsin Naqvi, the Interior Minister of Pakistan, was officially welcomed by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni upon his arrival in the capital on Saturday.

 

During the welcoming ceremony, Momeni expressed his deep gratitude to the Pakistani official, stating that Naqvi had put in tremendous effort during this period. He extended his sincere thanks to the government and people of Pakistan for their diligent follow-ups and dedication.

 

Momeni further noted that during the Pakistani minister’s visit, discussions would naturally cover bilateral matters between the two interior ministries, regional developments, the implementation of the clauses of the memorandum of understanding (MoU), and the message that Naqvi had brought during his previous trip to Iran.

 

For his part, Naqvi announced that he had already held a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. He added that following that meeting, he would hold a session with Dr. Momeni to discuss current regional issues.

 

The agenda for Naqvi’s visit to Tehran focuses on pursuing bilateral relations—including the expansion of ties and cooperation in border trade and counter-terrorism—as well as the implementation of the MoU and regional developments.
