Pakistani Interior Minister Meets with Iranian FM in Tehran
WANA (Jun 20) – Pakistani Interior Minister Senator Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday afternoon to discuss ongoing diplomatic developments.
Naqvi arrived in Iran earlier today as part of Islamabad’s ongoing diplomatic mission to mediate negotiations between Iran and the United States.
Sustained Diplomatic Mediation
This visit marks the latest in a series of high-level diplomatic efforts led by the Pakistani minister:
Early June Visit: Naqvi previously traveled to Tehran on June 6, meeting with Araghchi a day later to deliver an official message from the Pakistani leadership addressed to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
May Consultations: In late May, the Pakistani interior minister conducted two separate trips to the Iranian capital, holding extensive consultations with Araghchi during both visits.
High-Level Engagements: During his initial introductory mission to Tehran, Naqvi held comprehensive talks with Iran’s top leadership, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.
