WANA (Aug 03) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was officially welcomed by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday morning at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.

The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthems of both countries, after which President Pezeshkian reviewed the honor guard. Senior officials and members of both high-level delegations were then introduced to one another.

Following the welcome, President Pezeshkian and Prime Minister Sharif held a private bilateral meeting, which was later followed by talks between the two countries’ high-ranking delegations.

In a symbolic gesture of friendship, the two leaders jointly planted a tree in the garden of the Prime Minister’s residence, signifying the enduring ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
