WANA (Jun 06) – Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, arrived in Tehran on the evening of Saturday, June 6, where he was welcomed by Iran’s Interior Minister, Eskandar Momeni.

 

During the visit, the two interior ministers held talks, marking their third meeting in the past three days. The repeated engagements underscore the close and ongoing consultations between Tehran and Islamabad on issues of mutual interest.

 

According to the announced schedule, Naqvi is also set to meet Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Sunday, June 7.

 

The visit comes amid an intensified pace of diplomatic exchanges between the two neighboring countries. Earlier this year, Naqvi traveled to Tehran in April alongside Pakistan’s army chief on an official visit. He subsequently made two additional official trips to Iran in late May and early June.

 

During his recent visits, the Pakistani interior minister met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Araghchi, and his Iranian counterpart Momeni. The discussions focused on bilateral relations, security cooperation, border affairs, and regional developments.
