WANA (May 29) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has reacted to ongoing media speculation surrounding a potential imminent deal between Iran and the United States, stating, “Path to a deal goes through the negotiating table and not the media.”

Araghchi wrote on the social media platform X on Thursday: “Media is speculating about an imminent Iran-U.S. deal. Not sure if we are there yet. Iran is sincere about a diplomatic solution that will serve the interests of all sides.”

He added: “But getting there requires an agreement that will fully terminate all sanctions and uphold Iran’s nuclear rights—including enrichment.”

“Path to a deal goes through the negotiating table and not the media, as for the latest fake news against Iran-U.S. diplomacy: using Iran to attack American critics is low, even for Israel,” he concluded.

In his post, the Iranian Foreign Minister also brought part of a statement by Tulsi Gabbard, the U.S. Director of National Intelligence, during a congressional hearing, in which she said: “The U.S. intelligence community has assessed that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon.”
