WANA (Jun 01) – The final statement of the First Conference on “International Day of Peacekeepers” and the commemoration of Iranian Army Ground Force peacekeepers—held this morning (Sunday)—was read out as follows:

“The Iranian soldier is not only a defender of his homeland and ancient culture, but also a standard-bearer of a lofty ideal—an ideal rooted in preserving human dignity, confronting oppression, and establishing a just peace for all nations. He clearly understands that lasting peace is only possible through true national independence, the right of nations to self-determination, and freedom from the domination of imperial powers—those same powers that, under the guise of peace, sow the seeds of war, terror, and instability across the world.

The Iranian soldier is the child of a civilization-building nation, nurtured by a tradition of faith, honor, and sacrifice. He is not merely a military force, but the inheritor of the legacy of legendary commanders such as Martyr Ali Sayad Shirazi and Martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani—men who gave meaning to the world through commitment, dignity, and selflessness, and who gave their lives in pursuit of peace for the region.

We firmly believe that peace is not achieved through weapons of mass destruction or military alliances, but rather through justice, heartfelt conviction, mutual respect, and a rejection of double standards. Iran’s participation in global peacekeeping efforts is not based on political interests, but on a sincere belief in a divine responsibility toward humanity.

This is the voice of a nation—each of whose children is a soldier in the path of global peace and dignity.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Army, grounded in its civilizational heritage, divine faith, and human responsibility, declares its solidarity with all those striving for sustainable peace and global security, and emphasizes the following:

1. Commitment to preserving regional and global peace and security based on justice.

2. Continuous efforts to strengthen a sustainable, justice-oriented peace by leveraging national capacities and enhancing international cooperation.

3. Promoting a culture of peace and friendship in diverse societies by educating future generations based on human and peace-loving values.

4. Confronting any threats to peace and security with vigilance and full readiness.”

In the concluding section, the statement expresses hope for the realization of a lasting, just, and inclusive peace across the world—a peace in which people, regardless of race, religion, or borders, may live together in mutual respect, empathy, and understanding, and where nations may move forward on the path of progress, human dignity, and global tranquility.

Finally, the statement offers thanks and appreciation to the respected commanders, distinguished guests, and all participants in the conference, concluding with this declaration:

“With reliance on Almighty God and under the wise leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Imam Khamenei, we shall stand proud and victorious on the path to establishing a justice-based peace in the world.”
