WANA (Jul 21) – The Pentagon acknowledged on Monday that nearly 100 U.S. military personnel sustained injuries over the past two weeks during ongoing conflicts with Iran.

 

In a post on the social media platform X, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell stated that close to 100 American service members had suffered varying degrees of injury since July 7, 2026.

 

Parnell stated that the majority of those affected had already returned to duty, noting that a significant portion of the reported injuries consisted of mild traumatic brain injuries.

 

The spokesman’s remarks came in response to a New York Times report revealing that the defense department had withheld information regarding dozens of U.S. troop injuries during the conflict with Iran.

 

CNN also reported on Monday that the U.S. military had delayed public disclosures concerning injured personnel.
